# mod-guild-levels

Guild experience, twenty-five guild levels, and Cataclysm-inspired perks for
AzerothCore 3.3.5a. Progress is stored in `acore_characters` (`guild_progress`).
Perks are enforced in C++ (`PlayerScript`, `GuildScript`) so they stay
authoritative without trusting the client.

## Requirements

- AzerothCore with the `modules` target (default static modules build).
- **Optional UI**: [mod-ale](https://github.com/azerothcore/mod-ale) (Azeroth
  Lua Engine). The `lua/extensions/guild_levels/` scripts are copied next to
  ALE’s extensions when `mod-ale` is enabled at configure time
  (`mod-guild-levels.cmake`).
- **Recommended client UX**: install the **stock UI add-on** from
  [`client_addon/GuildLevels/`](client_addon/GuildLevels/) (copy into
  `Interface/AddOns`). It syncs via whispered **LANG_ADDON** packets when
  `GuildLevels.AddonSync` is enabled; use `/glui` or `/guildlevelsui` to open the
  panel and `/glpull` to request a refresh. See [`client_addon/README.md`](client_addon/README.md).
- **Optional**: [AIO](https://github.com/Rochet2/AIO) for richer secure UI; the
  bundled server Lua extension (`lua/extensions/guild_levels/guild_levels.ext`)
  still loads under **mod-ale** if you use it.

## Configuration

Copy `guild_levels.conf.dist` next to `worldserver.conf` and merge settings.
Keys are under `GuildLevels.*`.

Current server-side perk coverage:

- `Fast Track`, `Mr. Popularity`, and `Honorable Mention` are applied directly in C++.
- `Cash Flow` now deposits a percentage of looted enemy money into the guild bank.
- `Reinforce` now reduces death durability loss instead of discounting repairs.
- `Working Overtime` grants an extra profession skill gain on a subset of successful profession skill-ups.
- `Mount Up` ships with a module-local custom spell and is cast automatically for qualifying members.
- `Mobile Banking` is granted as a temporary spell and summons a temporary guild bank object.
- `Mass Resurrection` is granted as a temporary spell and resurrects nearby dead guild group members.

## GM commands

| Command | Description |
| ------- | ----------- |
| `.guildlevels` | Show your guild’s level and XP (or selected player’s). |
| `.guildlevels reload` | Reload `GuildLevels.*` config. |
| `.guildlevels setlevel #n` | Set guild level (1–25). Adjusts XP to tier floor. |
| `.guildlevels setxp #n` | Set raw guild XP total. |
| `.guildlevels addxp #n` | Add guild XP (respects caps unless disabled). |

## Databases

- **Characters**: `modules/mod-guild-levels/data/sql/characters/` — applied by
  the worldserver character DB updater.
- **World**: `modules/mod-guild-levels/data/sql/world/` — custom spell/content
  support for perks such as `Mount Up`, `Mobile Banking`, and `Mass Resurrection`.
