Code companion for a build guide that wires Obsidian + Claude Code into a personal agentic operating system.

This repo contains the orchestration plumbing — the background daemon, the activity-logging hook, and metric-pull script templates. **It is incomplete on its own.** The build guide (separate, paywalled inside the Chase AI+ Skool community) explains the vault layout, daily-note schema, MCP wiring, skill design, and Obsidian plugin that make these pieces useful.

If you're following the guide, clone this repo as instructed and the guide tells Claude Code where each piece lives.

## Installation

The build guide walks through each step in order. Quick reference for paid members already following along:

Then follow the guide's Phase 4 (metrics) + Phase 5 (runner) + Phase 8 (hook) to wire everything together.

## Configuration

Both `runner.js` and `activity-log.js` resolve the vault root in this order:

1. `AGENTIC_OS_VAULT` environment variable
2. `AGENTIC_OS_VAULT` entry inside `~/.claude/.env`
3. Fallback: `~/the-vault`

Set this once and the whole stack picks it up. The guide explains where to put it.

## Requirements

- Node.js 20+ (runner + hook)
- Python 3.11+ with `playwright` for scrape-template pulls
- Claude Code CLI authenticated
- Obsidian (for the vault these scripts read/write)
- Windows 10/11, macOS 12+, or Linux
