## Why Anciaa Exists

In Indonesia, AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor are often:

- **Expensive** for individuals (USD pricing in IDR-earning markets)
- **English-first**, leaving Bahasa Indonesia speakers with degraded UX
- **Single-purpose** (chat-only) — no terminal, no file ops, no automation

Anciaa solves this by exposing a **full agentic toolchain** through a familiar Telegram interface, with native Indonesian language support and a single shared backend that anyone can chat with.

## What It Does

Anciaa runs as a Telegram bot powered by [Hermes Agent](https://github.com/NousResearch/hermes-agent), Nous Research's open-source agent framework. From a single chat, users can:

- **Code & debug** — write, review, and run code with Claude as the reasoning engine
- **Research the web** — search, scrape, summarize articles and YouTube videos
- **Generate creative content** — images, ASCII art, diagrams, music
- **Automate tasks** — schedule cron jobs, build webhooks, manage data
- **Integrate productivity tools** — Notion, Google Workspace, Linear, Airtable
- **Develop & deploy** — manage VPS, deploy apps, configure CI/CD

All through natural Indonesian conversation, with persistent memory across sessions.

**Key components:**

- **Gateway** — translates Telegram messages into Hermes's internal format
- **Agent core** — runs the conversation loop, dispatches tool calls, manages context
- **Tools** — terminal, file I/O, web search, browser, image gen, vision, TTS, cron, MCP
- **Skills** — modular procedures (~80 installed) for domain-specific workflows
- **Memory** — persistent user preferences and facts across sessions
- **Provider routing** — swappable LLM backend (Claude today, MiMo planned)

Multi-agent collaboration is supported via `delegate_task` (parallel subagents) and the Kanban work-queue for long-running missions.

## Why Migrate to Xiaomi MiMo

The current bottleneck is API cost. Each conversation with Claude Opus consumes premium tokens, which limits how many free users we can support. **Xiaomi MiMo** offers:

1. **Competitive frontier-tier reasoning** (MiMo-V2-Pro) at a more sustainable cost structure
2. **Multi-modal** (Omni model) for vision and audio in a single endpoint
3. **TTS** built-in — currently we use Edge TTS, MiMo would unify the stack
4. **Direct integration** with Hermes Agent — `XIAOMI_API_KEY` is a first-class provider

With MiMo as the primary backend, Anciaa can scale from a single-user prototype to serving real Indonesian users without external sponsorship.

- **Deployment** — systemd service, auto-restart on failure
- **Observability** — `hermes insights` for usage analytics, gateway logs to disk
