**Verity JE** is an official adaptation of the **Verity** property, bringing the AI-powered assistant from ThatMob's video into **Minecraft: Java Edition**.

# Features

## 🤖 Verity

Meet **Verity**, your personal AI-powered helper. Interact with him naturally through voice or text, ask questions, have conversations, or simply let him accompany you during your adventures.

## 📦 The Box

Verity arrives inside his own **fully animated box**, faithfully recreated from the original concept.

The box serves as Verity's home and spawning point, complete with animations and interactions.

## 👹 Verity Demon

Be careful...

Depending on what happens during gameplay, Verity may summon—or become connected to—the **Verity Demon**, a terrifying entity inspired by ThatMob's original video.

## 🌑 Gameplay Changes

Installing Verity JE changes much more than simply adding an AI companion.

Some gameplay mechanics include:

* Extreme darkness
* Atmospheric visual changes
* New scripted events
* Unique encounters
* Horror-inspired mechanics
* Additional surprises throughout your playthrough

These changes are designed to recreate the feeling and atmosphere seen in **ThatMob's Verity video**.

# Installation

## Step 1

Download the latest release from this repository.

## Step 2

Open the **CurseForge** launcher.

---

## Step 3

Create or select the Minecraft profile you want to use.

---

## Step 4

Click the **⋮ (three dots)** on your profile and choose:

**Open Folder**

This opens your Minecraft instance folder.

## Step 5

Open the **mods** folder.

If it doesn't exist, create one.

---

## Step 6

Copy the downloaded Verity JE mod files into the **mods** folder.

---

## ⚠️ Important

**Do NOT only download the main mod file.**

You need to press, "All Files."** When prompted if you want to install files on curseforge only.

Download **every required file** listed there.

**The mod will NOT function correctly unless every required file from "All Files" is installed.**

Missing files can cause:

* Verity not spawning
* AI features failing
* Missing sounds
* Missing animations
* Missing assets
* Other unexpected issues

If something seems broken, the first thing to check is whether **all files** have been downloaded.

## Step 7

Launch Minecraft using the CurseForge profile.

If everything was installed correctly, Verity will be ready to use.
