### **Prerequisites**
- Node.js 18+
- Python 3.9+
- PostgreSQL 14+
- Cloudflare R2 Account
- Gemini API Key

### **Installation**

1. **Frontend Setup**

npm run dev
```

2. **PDF Service Setup**

python -m venv venv

## **Docker & environment variables**
- All environment variables are read from the **root** `.env` file and shared with both services (`web` and `pdf-service`).
- No Redis/Postgres containers are started; configure managed service URLs in `.env`.

## **Docker (web + pdf-service)**
- Build: `docker compose build`
- Run: `docker compose up`
- Web: http://localhost:3000 (uses managed Redis/Postgres URLs; not containerized here)
- PDF service: http://localhost:8501/api/v1 (CORS origin via `MAIN_SERVICE_ORIGIN_URL`)
- Key envs (place in `.env` or deployment config):
  - `DATABASE_URL`, `NEXTAUTH_SECRET`, `PDF_SERVICE_API=http://pdf-service:8501/api/v1`
  - Cloudflare R2: `R2_ACCOUNT_ID`, `R2_ACCESS_KEY_ID`, `R2_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY`, `R2_BUCKET_NAME`, `R2_PUBLIC_URL`
  - Cloudinary (optional): `CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME`, `CLOUDINARY_API_KEY`, `CLOUDINARY_API_SECRET`
