# Installation Guide
git clone https://github.com/browserpass/browserpass-native
Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.
cd browserpass-native
Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.
2. Official Install Script
Easy Recommended- Homebrew A package manager for macOS/Linux.
brew tap amar1729/formulae
Registers this project's repository (tap) with Homebrew.
brew install browserpass # this will print further installation instructions, e.g. for Firefox:
Installs the pre-built package via Homebrew β no source build required.

3. Docker
Easy- Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
- Docker Desktop Needed to build and run containers. Install it and keep it running in the background.
docker build -t browserpass-native .
Builds a runnable image based on the Dockerfile.
docker run --rm -v "$(pwd)":/src browserpass-native
Runs the built image as an actual container.
docker run --rm -v "$(pwd)":/src browserpass-native test
Runs the built image as an actual container.
