Laconian asks for the shortest complete answer—not the shortest answer.

Laconian is a public philosophy project built around one portable Markdown skill and an open
benchmark for testing whether brevity preserves a complete answer.

The portable skill itself is one file: [`skills/if/SKILL.md`](https://github.com/agent-axiom/laconian/blob/main/skills/if/SKILL.md).

## Status

Laconian is pre-release and under active development. It includes a credential-free evaluation
path and an optional live-provider adapter.

No public benchmark result is available yet. Smoke and replay fixtures verify the evaluation
pipeline; they do not show that `if` wins, saves cost, or outperforms another comparison arm.
