Statistical analysis of the largest earthquakes (M≥8.5, 365–2025) and their proximity to the four cardinal lunar phases. Shows a significant deficit of events in the lunar mid-cycle (4 observed vs 12 expected within 2.95 days). Includes offsets, binomial tests, and figures.
