# Installation Guide

1. Get the code
git clone https://github.com/benisai/Openwrt-Monitoring

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd Openwrt-Monitoring

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Docker

Easy Recommended
Prerequisites
  • Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
  • Docker Desktop Needed to build and run containers. Install it and keep it running in the background.
* DNS Stats via AdguardHome Container in Docker

Type this command into your terminal and run it.

* GeoIP Map for Destnation (provided by Netify logs, Check out the netify-log.sh script in the Docker folder https://github.com/benisai/Openwrt-Monitoring/blob/main/Docker/netify-log.sh)

Type this command into your terminal and run it.

* This command will ask if you want to install docker, if its already installed, it will be skipped

Type this command into your terminal and run it.

* Note: I removed the interface dns as it was causing some issues if you dont have Adguard home running on your docker server. if you do, uncomment the dns part if the script so Adguard home can see the hostnames of the devices.

Type this command into your terminal and run it.

βœ… Run docker compose ps to check the containers are Up. If the README mentions a port, open http://localhost:PORT in your browser.

3. Python

Easy
Prerequisites
  • Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
  • Python 3 On Windows, be sure to check 'Add Python to PATH' during installation.
pip install -r Python/requirements.txt

Installs the Python libraries listed in requirements.txt (or similar).
