Ready-made skills for AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) working on
**Snap Spectacles** Lenses — distilled from real projects built with the
agentic Lens Studio workflow.

The setup these come from: we develop in **Lens Studio 5.22** (MCP + Editor
API, agent-driven scene building) and downgrade to **LS 5.15.4** for on-device
testing on Spectacles (2024). Our first migration took a day; the second took
about an hour with **zero code changes** — because the project was architected
for portability from day one. These two skills capture both halves of that.

## The skills

### 1. `spectacles-522-portable-design`
Feed this to your agent **before you start building**, if you know you'll be
porting to 5.15 later. It makes the agent architect the project so the
downgrade is trivial:
- editor scene = one object, everything else built from code at runtime
- no graph shaders (CPU MeshBuilder FX instead) — with the exact failure modes
  that make converted shaders render nothing
- all material state set on clones in code (5.15 `clone()` resets values)
- 5.15-safe API surface, path-based asset references, batched geometry

### 2. `spectacles-522-to-515-migration`
The migration playbook + troubleshooting reference. Feed it to your agent when
you actually do the move, or when you hit the classic errors:
`CompressionSettings` floods, `!passList.empty()`, `Invalid graph header`,
infinite PassInfo reimport loops, materials going white after clone,
5.22 `.lspkg` corrupting a 5.15 project — every one is in there with the fix.

The skills auto-trigger by description (new 5.22 Spectacles project with a
planned downgrade → skill 1; migration/downgrade errors → skill 2), or invoke
them explicitly by name.

context — they're plain markdown.

## Provenance

Battle-tested on two real device projects that both went through the full
5.22 → 5.15 cycle. PRs and issue reports with new gotchas welcome.
